Supply Chain Specialist
Location: Reutlingen or Stutensee, Germany
Responsibilities
- You are responsible for creating and optimizing a feasible and stable ‘global’ demand and supply plan for high complex and innovative technologies. Synchronize with Product Marketing the demand forecast and align the plans with supply availability to ensure achievable Sales plan.
- Manage the day-to-day activities with external manufacturing and drive its delivery performance. You will be responsible for the supply planning activities e.g., develop short-term and long term finished goods supply plans and communicate with key stakeholders. You will also manage and execute the supply for new product introduction as well as the Excess/EOL stocks in coordination with Sales & Marketing and R & D.
- Manage the full material management cycle to ensure product availability on relevant storage locations in line with forecast, order book, and/or allocation. Prepare stock reports and provide regular updates on inventory levels and flagging in case of short-term stock issues are foreseen in the pipeline.
- Responsible for the logistical performance towards our global customers while optimizing forecast accuracy, inventory levels, throughput time, New Product Introduction, and other logistical parameters. Establish root causes to drive out forecast inaccuracy. Lead the plan creation for excess stock if required.
- Willingness to take over new activities that fall broadly in the purpose of the role to support the team.
Qualifications / Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, for example Business Administration (Logistics and Supply Chain Management).
- More than 3 years professional experience in Supply Chain (Demand & Supply and Materials Management) and/or related supply chain management including design, implementation, and execution of S&OP related processes.
- Experience with automotive demand and supply management by using Automotive customer portals is a must.
- Proficiency with MRP processes and other systems such as SAP R3/4Hana Cloud, Automotive OEMs EDI messages is a plus.
- Continuous improvement and growth mindset as well as strong intellectual curiosity.
- Very good analytical skills, high degree of ownership &Â responsibility, structured and efficient way of working. Strategic and tactical thinking and interpersonal strengths.
- Very good communication skills at all levels and creating mutual understanding with customers and within the team.
