Technology Insight Engineer in Semiconductors
Technology Insight Engineer – Semiconductors
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on semiconductor technologies, microelectronics, and photonics by attending international academic conferences, seminars, and workshops across Europe (e.g., SEMICON Europa, Therminic, SemiconMeet). Engage with industry experts, attend technical presentations, and compile analysis reports to propose high-value innovative technology ideas.
- Produce in-depth reports on key topics in semiconductors and nanofabrication, analyzing potential commercial value, technical breakthroughs, and challenges. Provide strategic insights and solutions to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal business units and experts to drive the initiation of R&D projects in semiconductor technologies.
- Establish and maintain relationships with leading academic organizations (e.g., IEEE, ESIA) and industry experts to stay at the forefront of technological advancements.
- Assist in organizing internal seminars and workshops to foster knowledge sharing and collaboration with academic and industry partners.
- Identify innovative startups and SMEs in semiconductor device processing and packaging technologies, exploring potential collaborations.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Microelectronics, Nanotechnology, Semiconductor Physics, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in semiconductors, innovative materials, nanofabrication processes (FEOL, BEOL), heterogeneous integration, 3DIC packaging, optoelectronics, thermal dissipation management, and back-end testing.
- Excellent analytical skills, keen industry insight, and a strong ability to self-learn new technologies.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); proficiency in French, German, or Chinese is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to travel within Germany and across Europe for conferences and seminars.
