Thermal Research Engineer

We are currently looking for a Thermal Research Engineer to join our Engineering Lab at our Stockholm office. This role involves researching, designing, and implementing future thermal solutions. The position will drive internal research projects and manage external research collaborations with top European universities.

This role has a path-finding responsibility—identifying, innovating, and implementing key technologies to solve future thermal challenges within ICT products.

Essential Skills Required:

  • Have solid experience in academic research applicable to thermal design for electronics cooling.
  • Possess excellent knowledge of heat and mass transfer, including theories behind natural convection, forced convection, and two-phase phenomena.
  • Be recognized as part of an extensive network of researchers in academia and/or the thermal industry research community.
  • Have significant experience in research activities (not product design) within the field of thermal design.
  • Have a general understanding of industrial research in electronics cooling.
  • Be familiar with CFD programs such as Ice Pack, Fluent, Comsol, and Flotherm.

A PhD in heat and mass transfer, physics, mechanical engineering, or a related field is required, along with postdoctoral research experience.

Candidates should also understand how to compare various thermal solutions in terms of both cost and functionality. Fluency in English, both verbal and written, is essential.
