Toolmaker / CNC Machinist
Toolmaker / CNC Machinist

About the Role
Euro Tech Recruit is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Toolmaker/CNC Machinist to join our expanding team in Wexford. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a fast-growing and innovative company working on precision engineering projects across the medical, pharmaceutical, aerospace, and automation sectors.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CNC milling operations, both 3-axis and 5-axis, and strong proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as Fusion 360 or MasterCAM. A background in tight tolerance machining and fixture design will be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines (Haas, Doosan, Vulcan).
- Develop and modify tooling designs and machining strategies using Fusion 360, MasterCAM, or similar CAD/CAM software.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimise designs for manufacturability and production efficiency.
- Conduct inspections using precision measurement instruments to verify part accuracy.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and assist with troubleshooting machining issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout production.
- Maintain accurate records of production, tooling, and inspections.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the adoption of new machining technologies.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in CNC machining and toolmaking, particularly with precision components.
- Strong proficiency in CAD/CAM software (Fusion 360, MasterCAM, or similar).
- Experience working with Fanuc, Siemens, and Haas machine controls.
- Sound knowledge of machining principles, tooling strategies, and tight tolerance finishing.
- Familiarity with Wire EDM, grinding, or mill-turn equipment is a strong advantage.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to adapt to changing production needs and project demands.
