Senior Business Development Manager
Senior Business Development Manager
Location:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â The Hague, the Netherlands/ Dusseldorf, Germany
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the renewable energy industry (especially solar, energy storage, etc.), a proven track record of developing strategic partnerships, and the ability to drive business growth through innovative solutions and relationship-building with leading industry players. As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, fostering key partnerships, and supporting the company’s mission to advance sustainable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnership Development: Identify and engage potential partners within the renewable energy sector to create mutually beneficial collaborations that align with company’s business objectives.
- Opportunity Identification: Lead efforts to identify new business opportunities, including partnerships, by analysing market dynamics, customer needs, and company capabilities.
- Proposal & Negotiation Management: Lead the preparation of business proposals, presentations, working closely with internal teams. Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure favourable terms for the company.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and product development, to ensure alignment on partnership initiatives and strategic goals.
- Industry Engagement: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities. Stay informed about regulatory changes, market conditions, and competitor activity to help guide business development decisions.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in business development, with a strong focus on the renewable energy sector (solar, energy storage, etc.).
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of renewable energy technologies, industry trends, regulatory frameworks, and market dynamics.
- Partnership Development: Proven experience in identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships with industry leaders.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex business contracts and agreements effectively.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or other relevant advanced degree is a plus.
Language Skills: Fluency in English
