Lead Engineer Complete Seat Development
Lead Engineer – Complete Seats
Location: Munich, Germany
Reports To: Engineering Manager / Director of Engineering
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Engineer to drive the design, development, and validation of automotive seat systems. You will lead projects from concept to production, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design and development of complete seat systems, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee 3D models, 2D drawings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for design feasibility.
- Manage engineering projects, timelines, resources, and budgets.
- Define validation plans, oversee testing, and ensure compliance with global standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for customers and collaborate with suppliers to meet targets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering.
- 8-10 years of experience in automotive seating systems, with 3+ years in leadership.
- Proficient in CAD software (CATIA, NX) and strong knowledge of seating systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in English; German is a plus.
Preferred:
- Experience with automotive safety regulations and OEM/Tier 1 suppliers
