You will be joining a world-leading technology company at their lab in Nuremberg.
Responsibilities
- Develop Finite Element Method (FEM) models to facilitate the design process of high-speed electrical machines.
- Model & design power electronic drives aimed at controlling high-speed electrical machines effectively.
- Propose innovative control algorithms tailored for accelerating ultra-fast motors & actuators.
- Design electronic components, fabricate Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), & conduct rigorous testing procedures.
- Implement & evaluate the developed control algorithms, ensuring their effectiveness through experimental validation.
Essential Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD degree in electrical engineering, specializing in electrical machines.
- Strong grasp of fundamental principles in electrical machines, electrical drives, & power electronics.
- Demonstrated experience in developing high-power electrical drives for the control of high-speed machines.
- Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools such as Ansys, Comsol, and/or programming tools like Matlab/Simulink.
- Hands-on experience in designing & executing experiments.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, coupled with a creative & analytical mindset.
- Fluent in written & spoken English, serving as the primary working language.
Advantageous Qualifications
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, particularly Solidworks or Creo, is advantageous.
- Experience in circuit breaker design is a desirable asset.
