Yield Engineer
Yield EngineerÂ
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Semiconductor Photonics Yield Improvement Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will focus on identifying, analyzing, and resolving yield issues in photonics manufacturing processes, leveraging a deep understanding of III-V semiconductor photonics and strong problem-solving abilities to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Yield Analysis: Analyze production data to identify yield detractors and implement corrective actions.
- Process Optimization: Develop and implement process improvements to enhance yield and reduce variability.
- Failure Analysis: Conduct electrical and physical failure analysis to determine root causes and drive corrective actions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve yield-related issues.
- Data Management: Manage and analyze yield data, generating reports and presenting findings.
- Technology Integration: Stay updated on industry trends and integrate new technologies to improve yield performance.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
Person Specification:
Required:
- PhD in Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, or a related field.
- Experience with III-V photonic devices, optical semiconductors, and lasers.
- Expertise in failure mode analysis and root cause investigation for yield and quality issues.
- Ability to collaborate across time zones and travel internationally to support projects.
- Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC), Six Sigma, and tools like MS Excel or Minitab.
- Proficiency in Python scripting and large data analysis.
