Regional Sales Manager – AMR & Intralogistics Automation (UK)

United Kingdom (frequent travel across the UK and Europe)
Overview
A leading automation and robotics company is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive growth of its Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) business in the UK market.
This role combines business development, strategic account management, and solution sales within warehouse automation and intralogistics. The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding market presence, developing customer relationships, and increasing adoption of AMR solutions among logistics, manufacturing, and industrial customers.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Business Growth
- Develop and execute mid- and long-term sales strategies for AMR solutions in the UK.
- Drive sustainable revenue growth through new customer acquisition and account expansion.
- Identify new business opportunities within logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, and industrial automation sectors.
Customer & Partner Management
- Develop and manage relationships with:
- End customers
- System integrators
- Automation partners
- Logistics solution providers
- Create and execute account development plans.
- Conduct regular customer visits and business reviews.
- Build long-term partnerships that support recurring business growth.
Solution Selling
- Promote AMR solutions and communicate clear operational and financial benefits.
- Understand customer workflows and identify automation opportunities.
- Coordinate with technical, product, and delivery teams to develop customer-specific solutions.
Sales Execution
- Own the full sales cycle:
- Lead generation
- Opportunity qualification
- Proposal development
- Commercial negotiation
- Contract closure
- Manage CRM activities and maintain accurate sales forecasts.
- Track pipeline performance and continuously improve conversion rates.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor trends in:
- AMRs and AGVs
- Warehouse automation
- Robotics
- Intralogistics technology
- Analyze competitor activity and customer requirements.
- Provide market feedback to product and leadership teams.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in:
- Automation
- Robotics
- Engineering
- Supply Chain
- Logistics
- Related disciplines
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience in:
- AMRs
- AGVs
- Mobile robotics
- Warehouse automation
- Intralogistics automation
- Proven track record selling:
- AMR systems
- Warehouse automation projects
- Robotics solutions
- Industrial automation solutions
- Experience working with:
- AMR vendors
- AGV vendors
- System integrators
