Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Technical Project Manager with a deep understanding of battery systems and electrified products. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading complex technical projects from conception through to delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong technical acumen, and the ability to navigate the intricacies of product development in the electrification sector.
Key Responsibilities
•Lead and manage technical projects related to battery systems and electrified products, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints.
•Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
•Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
•Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from design and prototyping to testing and production integration.
•Manage cross-functional project teams, including engineers, designers, and external partners.
•Identify and mitigate technical risks and challenges associated with battery technology and electrified systems.
•Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements for battery-powered products.
•Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to all stakeholders, including senior management.
•Facilitate technical discussions and decision-making processes within the project team.
•Drive continuous improvement in project management methodologies and technical processes.
Required Skills & Experience
•Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager, specifically within the electrification, automotive, or energy storage sectors.
•Strong competence in battery systems: In-depth knowledge of battery chemistry (e.g., Li-ion), battery management systems (BMS), thermal management, and battery pack design.
•Experience with electrified products: Demonstrated experience working with products powered by electric batteries, including understanding of power electronics, charging systems, and system integration.
•Solid understanding of the product development lifecycle for hardware-intensive projects.
•Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools.
•Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide technical teams.
•Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
•Fluent in English; proficiency in Swedish is a strong advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
•Experience with regulatory compliance and safety standards for battery systems (e.g., ISO 26262, UN 38.3).
•Previous experience working in a smaller, agile company environment.
•PMP or other relevant project management certification.
