Business Development Manager – Logistics & Automation Solutions (Benelux)

Position Overview

A fast-growing international provider of robotics and intelligent automation solutions is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to expand its presence in the Benelux logistics and manufacturing automation market.

This is a front-line commercial role focused on acquiring new customers, winning projects, and converting opportunities into sustainable revenue. The position is suited for highly motivated sales professionals with a strong track record in solution-based industrial sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of business growth and revenue generation in the Benelux region.

  • Proactively identify, approach, and acquire new customers, including system integrators, distributors, installers, and end users.

  • Develop and execute territory and account development strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.

  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, and industry engagement.

  • Lead commercial discussions, deliver compelling product and solution presentations, and conduct negotiations.

  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to order closing and revenue realization.

  • Maintain and expand long-term relationships with key customers to support repeat business and upselling.

  • Collaborate closely with internal sales support, marketing, and technical teams to deliver competitive proposals.

  • Represent the organization at trade fairs, customer events, and industry exhibitions.

  • Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and market intelligence to management.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven success in B2B sales or business development within logistics automation, manufacturing automation, robotics, or industrial equipment.

  • Strong experience selling to system integrators, logistics operators, or industrial end users in the Benelux region.

  • Demonstrated ability to open new accounts and consistently achieve sales targets.

  • Established professional network in sectors such as logistics, e-commerce, pharmaceuticals, electronics, automotive, food, or retail is highly desirable.

  • Experience with solution-based, consultative, or project-driven sales models is a strong advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong hunter mindset with a proactive and opportunity-driven approach.

  • Excellent negotiation, closing, and relationship management skills.

  • Commercially focused with high ownership and accountability for results.

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, multicultural, international environment.

  • Strong communication skills in English and Dutch and/or French.

  • Ability to analyze customer operations and position value-driven solutions.

  • Proficiency with CRM systems and standard business productivity tools.

  • Team-oriented, while capable of working independently in managing territory and accounts.
