Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented AVEVA PI Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, configuration, and support of AVEVA PI System solutions (formerly OSIsoft PI) for real-time data infrastructure projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment and maintenance of industrial data systems that drive operational insights and digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and implement AVEVA PI System components including PI Server, PI Asset Framework (AF), PI Vision, and PI Interfaces/connectors.
Integrate PI System with SCADA, DCS, PLCs, and other OT/IT systems.
Develop and maintain PI AF models and analytics to support business use cases.
Design and deploy PI Vision dashboards for operations and management users.
Perform system upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting for PI infrastructure.
Support data governance, security, and quality standards across PI data flows.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Provide training and documentation to end users and support staff.
Participate in project planning, testing, and commissioning of PI-related solutions.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
4+ years of experience with AVEVA/OSIsoft PI System administration and development.
Proficiency in PI AF, PI Vision, PI Interfaces, and PI Data Archive.
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (OPC, Modbus, etc.).
Experience in Regulated pharmaceutical industry
Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, or VBScript) is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
AVEVA PI System certifications.
Knowledge of analytics platforms or data historians.
