Senior Electronic Engineer
Job Title
Senior Electronic Engineer
Location: Stockholm area, Sweden
Work Model: On-site / Hybrid
Team: Multinational R&D environment
Role Overview
An innovative technology company is expanding its electronics development team and is seeking a Senior Electronic Engineer to support the design and development of advanced energy systems.
The organisation develops compact, high-performance fuel cell technology designed for applications where space, efficiency, and reliability are critical. These solutions are used across sectors such as e-mobility, robotics, autonomous vehicles, and industrial applications.
You will join a growing R&D team and play a key role in taking products from early concept through to fully validated production-ready designs, with ownership across the full product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Electronic Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Designing and developing electronic and electrical circuits for control systems and embedded applications
-
Contributing to concept development and technical architecture decisions
-
Working closely with electronics manufacturers and suppliers on prototype builds and series production solutions
-
Implementing and validating designs through:
-
Circuit design and simulation
-
Analysis and commissioning
-
Laboratory testing and troubleshooting
-
Technical documentation and design verification
-
-
Supporting the product lifecycle from concept sketches to finished product, ensuring high quality and robust performance
Required Background & Skills
Education & Experience
-
University degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related discipline
-
Several years’ experience in electronic design, ideally within innovative or R&D-focused environments
-
Experience working with prototypes and early-stage product development
Technical Skills
-
Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design
-
Experience with signal electronics and hardware design
-
Programming or scripting experience in Python, MATLAB, and/or C/C++
-
Hands-on laboratory experience, including:
-
Soldering (SMD and through-hole components)
-
Circuit testing, debugging, and measurement
-
Use of standard electronic lab equipment
-
Ways of Working
-
Comfortable working in a fast-moving, multidisciplinary development team
-
Able to take ownership and responsibility across the full product lifecycle
-
Strong documentation and communication skills
Languages
-
Fluent English (written and spoken)
-
Swedish language skills are highly desirable and beneficial for collaboration and long-term integration
