Senior Software Engineer – Python

We are hiring several senior Python engineers to join a fast-growing robotics and autonomous systems company in Oslo. These are foundational engineering roles focused on the internal systems and platforms.
This isn’t a support function. It’s high-impact work that directly shapes how fast, safely, and confidently the team delivers on its mission.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Writing production-quality Python across automation, tooling, and supporting infrastructure
• Building end-to-end test suites and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test setups
• Designing maintainable systems that improve reliability and engineering quality across the org
• Working close to real products and real operational behaviour
• Spending the majority of your time writing and improving code

Essential Requirementsl

• Strong software engineering fundamentals. Python experience is a real advantage, but excellent engineers motivated to move into Python are welcome
• Comfortable working in Linux-heavy environments
• A quality-first mindset, you care about building systems and environments that hold up at scale
• Backend systems experience is a strong fit; ML engineers with solid backend foundations and genuine interest in this space are also considered
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, or similar infrastructure tooling is a plus
• Hardware-adjacent or HIL/test automation experience is a bonus, not a requirement
• Genuinely motivated by end-to-end testing, this matters
• Around 3–10+ years of professional experience; 3 years considered for candidates with strong HIL or test automation backgrounds
