Finance Lead – Kazakhstan
Finance Lead
Location: Kazakhstan
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Finance Lead to oversee financial management, business planning, financial reporting, and operational finance activities for our Kazakhstan business. The successful candidate will serve as the key finance leader for the country operation and play a critical role in supporting business growth and performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership
- Lead all local finance activities including reporting, planning, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to management.
- Establish effective financial management processes and controls.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead annual budget preparation and periodic forecasting exercises.
- Monitor business performance against budgets and targets.
- Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
Business Analysis
- Analyze profitability, project performance, and operational efficiency.
- Support management with data-driven recommendations and strategic insights.
- Evaluate business opportunities and investment decisions.
Cost Management & Governance
- Monitor operating costs, project expenses, and financial risks.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and internal controls.
- Drive initiatives to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Business Support
- Partner closely with country leadership and operational teams.
- Provide financial guidance for commercial and operational decisions.
- Support business expansion and strategic growth initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
- Minimum 8 years of finance experience.
- Proven experience leading finance functions in a multinational or fast-growing environment.
- Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, management reporting, and business analysis.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Experience in mining, heavy equipment, engineering, construction, industrial services, infrastructure, or related industries is highly preferred.
- Fluent Chinese and English required.
- Russian and/or Kazakh language skills would be a strong advantage.
