This company are an innovative deep-tech venture transforming machines into smart, autonomous robotics systems. By merging learning-driven automation with advanced teleoperation, we allow individual operators to oversee a fleet of earthmoving assets within a dynamic, gamified interface. Backed by over ten years of elite academic research, we are scaling rapidly and deploying our technology alongside major industrial players in a massive global market

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Ownership: Direct the long-term technical roadmap, architecture, and tool selection for the core simulation framework.

  • Physics-Based Modeling: Develop and optimize highly realistic, GPU-accelerated environments modeling heavy machine dynamics, multi-modal sensor inputs, hydraulics, and complex soil-terrain interactions.

  • Continuous Verification: Architect and embed automated simulation testing and validation loops directly into the development pipelines.

  • Synthetic Data Engineering: Construct robust domain randomization and synthetic data pipelines to advance their perception models and machine learning policies.

  • Field Alignment: Target and close the sim-to-real gap through rigorous analysis and profiling of data variances between virtual testing and physical deployments.

  • Cross-Team Integration: Interface closely with internal perception and autonomy developers to translate system requirements into high-utility simulation features.

  • Infrastructure Scaling: Design and oversee the compute infrastructure (both on-premise and cloud-based) required to execute massive simulation runs continuously.

  • Team Leadership: Assist in hiring, mentoring, and technically guiding a growing team of specialized simulation engineers.

Essential Requirements

  • Degree (BS/MS) in Robotics, Computer Science, or a closely allied technical discipline.

  • 5+ years of specialized experience building robotics simulation environments (or a portfolio of work that proves years of experience irrelevant).

  • Practical fluency with GPU-accelerated simulation platforms.

  • Highly proficient Python development skills focused on clean, production-grade architecture.

  • Background integrating virtual testing pipelines into modern software delivery workflows.

  • Strong professional communication skills in English.

  • Prior experience leading technical teams, or the clear drive and aptitude to step into a leadership position.

Desirable Skills

  • Background utilizing cloud orchestration, containerized environments, and cluster provisioning for massive simulation workloads.

  • Familiarity with automated release management systems and version control practices.

  • Exposure to modern imitation or reinforcement learning strategies for robotic control.

  • Proven methodologies for addressing and bridging the simulation-to-reality delta.

  • Solid software development capabilities in modern C++.

  • Experience working with standard open-source robotics middleware ecosystems.
