Background & Experience
1.
Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computational Mechanics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
2.
Demonstrated mastery of implicit/explicit nonlinear Finite Element Analysis (FEA) methodologies and nonlinear mechanics.
3.
8+ years of proven track record in designing and implementing high-performance nonlinear structural FEA solver using C/C++/Fortran.
Professional Skills
1.
Advanced proficiency in numerical analysis, parallel computing architectures (e.g., MPI, OpenMP), and high-performance computing (HPC) techniques applied to large-scale engineering simulations.
2.
In-depth understanding of:
•
Shell element formulations;
•
Metal plasticity models (e.g., Hill’48, Barlat, ductile damage);
•
Contact mechanics and friction models under large deformation regimes.
