Embedded Software Engineer – Wireless Connectivity (Bluetooth)

Position Overview

A global provider of smart-edge and embedded connectivity solutions is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to contribute to the development of Bluetooth-based communication products.

This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining core software components for embedded wireless platforms. The position requires close collaboration with hardware, validation, and customer-facing teams throughout the full product lifecycle.

Seniority Level

• Level: Early to Mid-Level

• Experience: Professional engineer with initial to intermediate industry experience

Key Responsibilities

• Review wireless communication standards and translate specifications into engineering requirements.

• Design, develop, and maintain Bluetooth features with strong emphasis on reliability, maintainability, and performance.

• Define and implement comprehensive unit testing strategies to ensure functional coverage.

• Support product certification and compliance processes.

• Diagnose technical issues and deliver efficient, sustainable solutions.

• Provide technical training and ongoing support to validation and customer support teams.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and technologies.

• Participate in standardization discussions and technical feedback processes with industry bodies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or a related technical field.

• At least two years of professional experience in embedded software development.

• Strong proficiency in C programming for embedded systems.

• Solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle, from requirements definition to testing and validation.

• Hands-on experience with debugging in simulation, FPGA, and SoC environments.

• Ability to produce clear and structured technical documentation.

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

• Professional working proficiency in English. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python.

• Experience developing software for communication protocols or networking stacks.

• Familiarity with wireless certification and compliance processes.
