About the Research Environment
We are seeking exceptional Researchers to join a leading advanced computing systems research organisation based in Zurich.
The team works at the intersection of computer architecture, artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, systems software, memory technologies, and hardware-software co-design. Researchers operate in a highly collaborative environment alongside specialists in chip architecture, distributed systems, AI infrastructure, compilers, interconnects, and next-generation computing platforms.
The research environment supports ambitious, large-scale projects and maintains close collaboration with leading universities, research institutions, and industry partners worldwide.
Researchers are encouraged to pursue high-impact work with both scientific and practical relevance, contributing to the development of future computing architectures, AI systems, and large-scale infrastructure technologies.

Build prototypes and experimental systems to validate research concepts.

Conduct large-scale benchmarking, modelling, simulation, and performance analysis.

Collaborate with researchers across computer architecture, AI, compilers, distributed systems, and systems software.

Work with academic and industry partners on joint research projects.

Publish research findings at leading international conferences and journals.

Contribute to long-term technology roadmaps and next-generation computing platforms.

Candidate Profile
We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong academic or industrial research track record in computer systems, artificial intelligence, or related disciplines.
Candidates should demonstrate:

PhD or equivalent research experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.

Strong publication record at recognised international conferences and journals.

Evidence of original research contributions and independent technical thinking.

Deep expertise in at least one relevant area of computer architecture, systems, AI infrastructure, compilers, distributed computing, or machine learning.

Strong analytical, experimental, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to design and implement research prototypes and evaluate them rigorously.

Strong programming and systems-development capabilities.

Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary research teams.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
