Principal AI Researcher 

Responsibilities

• Identify cutting-edge AI technologies, both from industry and academic sources, to solve problems in the domain of Autonomous Telecommunication Networks, with a focus on Large Language Models for general question answering, reasoning, planning, network self-healing, and self-optimization.
• Lead the solution design process, ensuring a good understanding of use cases and technologies, and guide team members in refining the solutions.
• Contribute to the rapid and iterative development of validated software prototypes based on AI technologies and benchmark alternative solutions.
• Collaborate closely with domain experts, data engineers, and AI researchers. Work with product development teams and partners to transition AI technologies into production, including providing source code and design documents.
• Conduct technical insights, contribute to strategic planning to maintain technological leadership, and propose innovative solutions for Autonomous Telecommunication.

Requirements

• PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Natural Language Processing.
• 5+ years of industrial or post-doctoral research experience in Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning.
• Strong hands-on experience with language model technology, particularly Large Language Models. Experience with foundation models for decision-making is a plus.
• Solid background in mathematics and statistics.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Practical skills in using machine learning frameworks, such as Scikit-Learn and PyTorch.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and demonstrated experience in developing new algorithms and methodologies from leading open-source initiatives and research papers.
• Knowledge of telecommunication networks is a significant advantage.
• A track record of publications in machine learning and computer science conferences and journals (e.g., ICML, ECML, NIPS, AAAI, IJCAI, IJCNN) is highly desirable.
