IT-OT Engineer

IT/OT Engineer – Long-Term Contract – On-Site Cork with Hybrid Flexibility

We are currently seeking an experienced IT/OT Engineer to join a well-established automation team at a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Cork. This is a long-term rolling contract with an immediate start available.

Cork (on-site 4 days/week, 1 day WFH flexibility)

1-year rolling contract

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will support both IT and OT systems within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. The role involves a mix of project delivery and support, working across infrastructure, systems integration, and automation-focused technologies. You’ll be part of a collaborative and fast-paced team supporting critical systems and infrastructure.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in an IT and/or OT project and support role
• Experience in a pharma, manufacturing, or GMP-regulated environment is an advantage but not mandatory
• A degree in a relevant IT/OT discipline is preferred but not essential

Technical Experience (required in several of the following areas):

• Networking: Ethernet LAN/WiFi, general troubleshooting
• Cisco networking hardware: configuration, deployment, and support
• Hardware installation/support: Servers, Workstations, Switches, NAS, Thin Clients, Firewalls, Backup systems
• Windows OS environments: Server & Workstation (Win10/11, Server 2008–2022)
• Active Directory: Domain and Group Policy management
• Hyper-V: Deployment, management, troubleshooting
• Dell server and workstation hardware support
• Cybersecurity: Experience with IT/OT Cybersecurity solutions (PaloAlto or Cisco firewalls desirable)
• Cabling infrastructure: Copper and fibre Ethernet
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, networks, domains, OS, and applications
• Documentation: Familiarity with URS, DS, DDS, validation and verification protocols
