Senior SoC functional verification Engineer
Senior SoC Functional Verification Engineer
Position Overview
A semiconductor technology company is seeking a Senior Functional Verification Engineer to contribute to the development and validation of next-generation many-core and heterogeneous processing architectures.
This role involves defining and executing advanced verification strategies for complex SoC designs, working within a collaborative, high-performance engineering environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring design robustness and validation completeness using modern verification methodologies and tools.
Key Responsibilities

Define overall verification strategies and develop detailed verification plans.

Develop and maintain UVM-based testbenches and verification environments at IP level.
-
Design and execute complex system-level tests at SoC level.
-
Analyze functional coverage metrics to ensure completeness and identify coverage gaps.
-
Define and implement reference models to improve validation accuracy and consistency.
-
Collaborate closely with hardware design, architecture, and software teams to ensure alignment and efficient issue resolution.

Support continuous improvement of verification methodologies and best practices.
Required Skills
-
Strong expertise in functional verification methodologies and industry-standard tools.
-
Advanced proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM.
-
Good knowledge of C programming.
-
Comfortable working in Linux environments (shell scripting, version control tools such as Git or SVN).

Strong analytical and debugging capabilities.
-
Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
-
Professional fluency in French and technical proficiency in English.
Required Experience & Profile
-
Engineering degree or equivalent in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field.
-
Minimum of seven years of professional experience in functional verification.
-
Experience leading or mentoring small teams, including contractors or junior engineers.

Ability to take ownership of verification planning and execution at IP and SoC levels.

Structured and detail-oriented working approach with strong organizational skills.
