FPGA Design Engineer
Join the Global SVE (System/Validation/Emulation) team at QCOM Technologies Inc, dedicated to delivering advanced solutions for the design of next-generation wireless products. As a leader in 5G innovation, we are at the forefront of connectivity advancements that are transforming industries, generating employment opportunities, and enhancing quality of life. The Global SVE team is currently seeking FPGA Design Engineer.
This role will include:
· Working with industry-standard tools and technologies to develop solutions to a variety of infrastructure needs.
· Designing and implementing critical designs for custom emulation hardware
· Mentoring and leading other members of the team
· Contributing towards the continuous development of Tools, Technology and Flows
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.
· 5+ years FPGA design or related work experience.
· 5+ years of direct hands-on experience with System Verilog, RTL/HDL, FPGA (Xilinx Ultrascale, Ultrascale+, MPSoC, Intel Stratix) and FPGA Tools (Xilinx, Intel)
· Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills with the ability to work independently, and create customer-facing applications
Preferred Qualifications
· Master’s or PhD. in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Applied Mathematics
· 8+ years FPGA design or related work experience.
· Experience with clock domain crossing, high speed designs, and timing closure techniques
· Exposure to VLSI design concepts, logic design
· 8+ years of direct hands-on experience with System Verilog, RTL/HDL, FPGA (Xilinx Ultrascale, Ultrascale+, MPSoC, Intel Stratix) and FPGA Tools (Xilinx, Intel)
· Experience with Git, JIRA, and other related technologies
Desired Qualifications
· Direct hands-on experience with C++ (x86, aarch64) and Python
· Experience with Linux / Embedded Linux
· Solid understanding of ARM based designs, Embedded Linux, Linux Device Drivers
· Solid experience on the following protocols: AXI, PCIe, I2C, LVDS, Ethernet
· Proven ability of software design principles, practices and patterns
· Knowledge of Agile project management principles and practices
