IP & Silicon Design Services Sales Manager
Position Overview
A semiconductor technology company specializing in advanced processing architectures and custom silicon solutions is seeking an IP & Silicon Design Services Sales Manager to drive growth across IP licensing and engineering services.
This role is focused on developing new business opportunities, opening strategic accounts, and managing complex enterprise sales cycles involving semiconductor IP, custom silicon development, and hardware design services. The successful candidate will operate at the intersection of technology and business, engaging with both executive decision-makers and technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Drive new business through the sale of:
- Semiconductor IP portfolios
- Processor and accelerator technologies
- Custom silicon design services
- High-value engineering and development engagements
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities within the semiconductor ecosystem.
- Expand strategic customer relationships to support long-term business growth.
Strategic Account Management
- Open, develop, and manage strategic customer accounts.
- Build relationships with:
- Semiconductor companies
- System vendors
- Technology integrators
- Design houses and OEMs
- Establish trusted partnerships with both technical and executive stakeholders.
Sales Pipeline & Opportunity Management
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
- Manage the complete sales lifecycle:
- Lead generation
- Opportunity qualification
- Solution positioning
- Commercial negotiation
- Contract closure
- Maintain accurate forecasting and opportunity tracking.
Technical Solution Selling
- Engage in technical discussions around:
- Processor architectures
- Hardware IP blocks
- Accelerators and custom silicon solutions
- Understand customer performance requirements and position appropriate technical solutions.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to align proposals with customer needs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with product management, engineering, and leadership teams.
- Support proposal development, technical workshops, and customer presentations.
- Contribute to the evolution of the company’s IP and services business strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
- Approximately 5–10 years of experience in semiconductor-related sales.
- Proven experience selling:
- Semiconductor IP
- Processor IP
- Hardware design services
- ASIC or custom silicon development services
- Demonstrated success in developing and growing new business initiatives.
- Experience managing long and complex sales cycles.
- Ability to engage credibly with highly technical audiences.
- Experience operating in international B2B environments.
- Fluent English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional European language skills are beneficial.
- Existing network within the semiconductor, ASIC, or IP licensing ecosystem.
- Experience with accelerator technologies, AI processors, networking processors, or advanced compute architectures.
- Familiarity with custom silicon business models and design-service engagements.
