Senior Field Application Engineer – Analog & Power (Data Centre)
Location: Taipei, Taiwan
The Opportunity
Our client is a global leader in semiconductor technology, supplying innovative solutions across industrial, automotive, data centre and AI infrastructure markets. With a strong international presence and continued investment in advanced power and embedded technologies, they are expanding their technical field applications team in Taiwan.
As part of this growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Field Application Engineer to support customers developing next-generation AI and data centre power solutions.
This is a highly customer-facing position, working closely with engineering teams to support product evaluation, design-in activities, technical problem solving and successful project execution across the Asia-Pacific region.
Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support for customers developing high-performance power conversion systems for AI and data centre applications.
Support the evaluation, validation and design-in of Analog and Power semiconductor solutions.
Work closely with customer engineering teams to troubleshoot technical challenges throughout the product development cycle.
Assist with the development and validation of AC-DC and DC-DC power conversion systems, power supplies and power management solutions.
Collaborate with sales, marketing and product teams to identify new business opportunities and support customer design wins.
Review customer hardware designs and provide guidance on PCB layout, power architecture and system optimisation.
Support prototype bring-up, debugging, qualification testing and design reviews.
Develop strong technical relationships with key customer engineering teams throughout Taiwan and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
Collaborate with regional Field Application Engineering teams to deliver consistent customer support across multiple territories.

Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will ideally have:

Approximately 6+ years’ experience within semiconductor Field Applications, Applications Engineering or Power Electronics.
Strong understanding of high-efficiency power conversion systems for data centre or industrial applications.
Experience with AC-DC and DC-DC converter design and validation.
Knowledge of modern power semiconductor technologies including SiC, GaN, high-voltage and low-voltage MOSFETs.
Experience supporting Analog products such as gate drivers, DC-DC converters, voltage regulators or related power management devices.
Practical experience with PCB design and review using electronic CAD tools such as Altium Designer.
Familiarity with transformer design, magnetic components and simulation tools would be advantageous.
Hands-on experience using laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, power analysers and spectrum analysers.
Understanding of thermal management, EMI/EMC design considerations and high-power system reliability.
Previous experience supporting OEMs, ODMs or system integrators within the semiconductor or power electronics industry.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with customer engineering teams.
