Senior Field Application Engineer – MCU & Embedded Systems (Data Centre)
Location: Taipei, Taiwan

The Opportunity
Our client is a leading global semiconductor company, delivering advanced technologies that power next-generation industrial, automotive, AI and data centre applications. As demand for intelligent power management and embedded control continues to grow, they are expanding their Field Application Engineering team in Taiwan.
They are seeking an experienced Senior Field Application Engineer with expertise in 32-bit microcontrollers, embedded systems and digital power control to support customers developing advanced data centre power solutions.
This is a customer-facing technical role where you’ll work closely with engineering teams to support product evaluation, system integration, design-in activities and technical problem solving throughout the product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support for customers developing MCU-based solutions for AI and data centre power applications.
Support the evaluation, validation and design-in of 32-bit microcontroller and embedded system solutions.
Work alongside Analog and Power Field Application Engineers to deliver complete system-level solutions for customers.
Assist customers with firmware development, embedded software integration and digital power control implementation.
Troubleshoot complex application issues relating to embedded systems, microcontrollers and power conversion architectures.
Support prototype bring-up, debugging, validation and qualification activities throughout the design cycle.
Collaborate with sales, marketing and engineering teams to identify new design opportunities and support successful design wins.
Build strong technical relationships with customer engineering teams and become a trusted technical advisor.
Work closely with regional engineering teams across the Asia-Pacific region to deliver consistent customer support.

Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will ideally have:

Approximately 6+ years’ experience within Field Applications, Embedded Systems, MCU Applications or Semiconductor Applications Engineering.
Strong experience with 32-bit microcontrollers and embedded software development.
Hands-on programming experience using C/C++.
Knowledge of MCU architectures such as ARM Cortex-based platforms or similar embedded processor architectures.
Experience with firmware development, device drivers and embedded debugging.
Understanding of digital power control and embedded control within power conversion systems.
Exposure to AC-DC and DC-DC power conversion applications would be highly beneficial.
Experience supporting OEMs, ODMs or system integrators within the semiconductor industry.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex customer technical issues.
Comfortable working independently while managing multiple customer projects.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage directly with customer engineering teams.
