Development Engineer – Exploratory Device Processing

The assignment

Translate device and material concepts into experimental process flows in collaboration with seasoned R&D engineers and researchers.
Develop and optimize process steps in the cleanroom environment, including thin film deposition, patterning, etching, bonding, and layer characterization.
Integrate process steps into full device fabrication flows and monitor critical parameters for yield and performance.
Work hands-on in the lab to execute processing runs, ensuring accuracy, repeatability, and proper documentation.
Report process progress, results, and issues to project leaders, R&D engineers or researchers in a clear and structured way.

Required knowledge and skills

Master’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Nanotechnology, or a related field.
Hands-on experience in cleanroom processing, including one or more of the following: thin film deposition, photolithography, etching, bonding, or microfabrication.
Good understanding of microfabrication principles and enjoy translating concepts into experimental process flows.
Organized, result-driven, and able to plan and execute tasks according to project schedules.
Strong team player, working closely with both engineers and assistants, while taking initiative to solve problems independently.
Experience within cleanrooms is mandatory. 3 – 6 years of experience within a similar position.
